Start This Simple Morning Ritual or Stay Stuck in Fatigue

This photograph showcases a beautifully arranged breakfast on a rustic wooden table. The setting includes a golden, flaky croissant placed on a black bamboo placemat, accompanied by a cup of frothy cappuccino in a deep brown ceramic mug. To the left, a white plate holds a serving of yogurt topped with dark berry jam. Next to the plate, there is an elegant glass of water with a decorative stem. A folded pink napkin with a wavy pattern rests beside the glass. Additionally, two whole passion fruits and a silver spoon complete the composition. Some mornings, I wake up feeling tired, even if I’ve slept well. Fatigue is a fact, but action is something else entirely. The moment I start doing something, I feel motivated. Today, I want to share something with you that you won’t find on an iPad or any fancy gadget. It’s not outside, either. In fact, as I’m writing this, it’s still night. I wake up every day around 3 or 4:30 in the morning, before the sun rises. That’s when I begin my day with a small but powerful ritual.

The Power of Paper

What I want to show you is simple: my notebook. I use it almost like an iPad, as a tool for learning and planning. There’s something special about putting pen to paper. When I write, I can hear the marker gliding over the page. That sound is satisfying in a way that no digital device can match. Sure, you can write on an iPad with a stylus, but it’s not the same. The tactile feedback, the sound, the feeling—it’s real.

Every day, I write something down. Every day counts. Each action you take today shapes who you’ll become tomorrow. That’s why having a plan is so important. Your future is built from your daily actions.

Personal Branding Starts With You

People often think of marketing as something you do to sell a product. But marketing is also about yourself—your personal branding. It’s about showing who you are, what makes you different, and why people should choose you. For example, if you have a YouTube channel, you’re not just sharing content; you’re showing why people should follow you, what sets you apart, and what unique value you bring.

Highlight what you’re proud of. Share your achievements and the challenges you’ve overcome. These are the things that make you stand out. Using a notebook helps me clarify my ideas and put them into action. I’ve filled many pages with notes about reinvention, organization, success indicators, and useful resources.

Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.

— Abraham Lincoln

This quote rings true for me. The most important thing is strategy—thinking about how to do something before you do it.

Organization Is Everything

I often use a highlighter to emphasize key ideas in my notes. Organization makes all the difference. It’s not just about being busy or filling your day with tasks. True efficiency is knowing where your time goes and making sure your actions matter.

Think of the 80/20 rule: do less, but make sure what you do has the most impact. If you spend 80% of your day on things that don’t matter to anyone, what’s the point? Focus on the few things that make a real difference—the things people will remember.

It’s not about quantity, but quality. You could spend a year working on something and achieve more than someone who spends twelve years going in circles. If you keep doing things that don’t matter, you’ll stay stuck at the starting line.

Let’s say you want to sell pillows. If your pillow is just like every other pillow, you’ll blend in and no one will notice. You could work day and night, but if you’re not offering something unique, you’ll get nowhere. Sometimes, you need to pivot. Being resilient and persistent is good, but being stubborn is like trying to break down a wall with your head. You need the right tools—a hammer, maybe, or something else that gets the job done without hurting yourself.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

— Albert Einstein

Work Smarter, Not Harder

It’s not about how long or how hard you work. It’s about your approach. Use the right tools and strategies to get the results you want. Be smart about your efforts. Organize your day, focus on what matters, and don’t be afraid to change your approach if something isn’t working.

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.

— Robert Collier
