What exactly is a positive feeling? It’s that spark you get when you wake up in the morning, feeling full of energy, ready to take on anything. You know those days when you jump out of bed, thinking, “Wow, today’s going to be amazing! I’m going to get this done, and that, and maybe even more.” That’s the positive sensation I’m talking about. Motivation flows, and everything seems possible.

But let’s be honest, not every day starts like that. Sometimes you wake up feeling a bit down, sluggish, or just not yourself. The world seems heavier, and motivation is nowhere to be found. So, how do you create that positive feeling in your daily life, especially when it doesn’t come naturally?

Here’s what I’ve learned: having a project, especially one that matters to you, changes everything. A life project, something you carry with you over time, can transform your days. It doesn’t have to be a lifelong mission—sometimes it’s a project for a month, two months, or half a year. The important thing is that it speaks to you.

Personally, I keep a notebook where I jot down projects that excite me. I update this list often. When I notice my motivation slipping, I ask myself if the project still fits who I am now. Maybe my perspective has changed, or maybe the project needs to evolve. It’s important to check in with yourself: “Why am I less excited about this? What’s changed?”

By looking at the problem from a new angle, you can stretch your thinking and find new ways forward. Sometimes, you need to tweak your project or even pick a new one. The key is to keep moving, keep reaching higher, and keep searching for that satisfaction. When you start to feel energy flowing from your project again, you know you’re on the right track.

Of course, your environment matters too. The food you eat, the rewards you give yourself, the people around you—all these things play a role. But for me, the project is always number one. It’s the anchor that keeps me going.

“The future depends on what you do today.”
— Mahatma Gandhi

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”
— Dalai Lama

If you’re looking for that positive spark, start with a project that excites you. Update it, question it, and let it grow with you. That’s how you keep the euphoria alive.
