Have you ever looked at someone and thought, “Wow, this person inspires me. They seem to have it all together. I wish I could be like them”? Maybe you admire their lifestyle, their achievements, or the way they seem to make things happen. Even if you know that what people show on the outside is never the whole story, the feeling remains: you’d like to have a life like that.
But then, the excuses start. “I’m not ready yet.” “It’s not the right time.” “I just changed jobs.” “I have too many expenses right now.” These are the stories we tell ourselves to justify not starting. The truth is, if you really want something, you’ll find a way to make it happen. You’ll make sacrifices, say no to some things and yes to others. It all comes down to priorities.
If your number one priority is buying a house, then of course, starting a business will come last. But if launching your own project is what matters most, everything else will have to wait. The key is to stop putting things off, stop saying, “I’m too tired today, I’ll do it tomorrow.” Tomorrow will always bring new distractions. There will never be a perfect moment. Procrastination is just another excuse.
The only person responsible for your progress is you. If you want something passionately enough, it becomes an obsession. When that happens, you’ll always find ways to move forward, no matter what stands in your way. The limits you think you have—your background, your education, your circumstances—are often just boundaries you’ve set for yourself. It’s time to break out of that box.
If you keep telling yourself, “I can’t do this because of where I live, or because of my situation,” then maybe it’s time to change your environment. If your dream is truly your top priority, you’ll move mountains to make it real.
Sometimes, you see people who have opened a coffee shop or started a business and think, “I’d love to do that too.” Well, you can. Don’t leave your dreams as dreams. Make them happen. It all starts with a dream, but it only becomes real when you act.

One of the biggest obstacles today is distraction. Notifications on your phone, your computer, endless pings and pop-ups—they all pull you away from what matters. Turn off notifications. If you need to, use a distraction-free device for writing or working. If your computer is too tempting, put it away. Out of sight, out of mind. Sometimes, you have to go to extremes—lock your computer away, or even put it somewhere you can’t reach it easily—just to focus on what matters most.
A computer is a tool. It should help you, not hold you back. If you find yourself constantly tempted to do something else, take a break from it. The most important thing is to do what matters to you.
There’s a Chinese proverb that says, The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago. The second best time is now. If you plant your tree today, in twenty years it will be strong and beautiful. But you have to start now. Don’t wait any longer.
When you see inspiring people, remember: what you admire in them is possible for you, too. If their lifestyle makes you dream, maybe it’s a sign you should try it for yourself. Don’t just wonder, “What if?” Do it now. Only by trying will you know if it’s right for you.
When your life project becomes your number one obsession, you’ll always find ways to make it work—even if it seems impossible from where you are now. You’ll find tricks, shortcuts, and solutions to get past obstacles. If money is tight, take on a side job, work nights, or do whatever it takes to save up. It might not be your dream job, but it’s a step toward your goal.
I believe in you. You deserve to succeed. Stop telling yourself, “I can’t because of this or that.” The right moment is now.
