Walking is often seen as just a way to get some exercise and feel good. But there is another kind of walk that I want to share with you—a meditative walk, or what I like to call a walk for meditation. This is not about counting steps or burning calories. It is about using the quiet moments of walking to reflect deeply and find answers to your current challenges.
I recommend doing this walk in the evening or very early in the morning, when everything is still calm and the world is just waking up or settling down. For me, it’s around 8 p.m. in the summer. The sun is setting, the light is soft, and there is a peaceful atmosphere that makes it the perfect time to think.
During this walk, focus on a problem you are facing right now. As you walk, let your mind wander around this problem. Ask yourself, “What could I do to solve this? What am I missing? What could I try differently?” The act of walking seems to wake up your mind, just like when you are in the shower or soaking in a hot bath. You feel relaxed, and your thoughts flow more freely. It is as if you can speak more directly to your subconscious, and ideas start to appear.

You might not find the perfect answer right away, but this simple habit can help you see things from a new angle. Maybe your business is stuck, or you are facing a personal challenge. As you walk and think, you might notice a new solution or a small step you can take. The important thing is to give yourself this quiet space to reflect.

If you try this meditative walk, I wish you the best. Give yourself permission to slow down and let your mind wander. You might be surprised by what you discover.
