How to Shape Success by Changing Your Atmosphere

Right now, I’m sitting in my hotel room in Melbourne, and I want to talk about something that often goes unnoticed: atmosphere. The environment you find yourself in matters much more than you might think. When you’re in a place that feels right, that matches your energy, you notice how everything around you seems to play along. You see people outside having fun, and you feel a certain alignment. This is not just about comfort—it’s about creating the right conditions for growth.

Being in a new place always pushes me to go further. I ask myself, “Now that I’m here, what can I do to surpass myself? How can I move from where I am to something even greater?” The answer is simple: you need a plan of action. Every day, set out to accomplish three important things. Not just any tasks, but the ones that will truly make a difference.

We all have a tendency to procrastinate, to push things off until tomorrow. But the real problem is delaying what could be done today. The way to break this habit is to focus on those three key actions each day. These should not be trivial tasks, but things that matter—things that will have an impact and set you apart from the rest.

This is where the Pareto principle comes in. It’s the idea that 20% of your efforts will bring 80% of your results. So, in your daily life, what are the 20% of actions that will give you 80% of the outcome you want? Always look for these. Ask yourself, “What can I do today that will have the biggest effect in the long run?”

Write these three tasks down in a notebook. Make sure they are the most important things you want to achieve today. It’s not about doing more, but about doing what counts. Many people believe that working more hours will make them successful or wealthy. But the truth is, it’s not about how much you do—it’s about what you do.

We often spend hours on things that are insignificant, things that don’t move us forward. The key is to avoid these distractions and focus only on what truly matters. Take a moment to reflect: what are the actions that will really make a difference for you? Trust your instincts and commit to those.

Once you’ve written down your three key tasks, commit to doing them. Writing them down is important because it’s a form of commitment. Then, go out and accomplish them. At the end of the day, look back and ask yourself: was it worth it? Did it make you happier or more fulfilled? If yes, keep going. If not, adjust your approach.

This simple habit, repeated every day, can lead to real progress and satisfaction. It’s not about quantity, but about quality and intention.
