How to Pursue Your Dreams Without Waiting for More Money

When we talk about dreams and big projects, money always seems to come up. Many people believe that if only they had enough money, they could finally buy that house, travel the world, or start the life they’ve always imagined. But is money really the key to making our dreams come true?

Let’s be honest: there will always be expenses. Even if you manage to save €10,000, €20,000, or €50,000, something else will come up. Maybe you’ll want a better lifestyle, or you’ll face unexpected health issues, or your family will grow. Suddenly, what seemed like enough money is no longer enough. The target keeps moving. Today you think you need €30,000, but tomorrow it might be €40,000 or even €100,000.

Some people call this “fucking money”—the idea that you need a certain amount before you can finally do what you want. I’ve seen many people stuck in this trap, especially those who move to cities like London or Dubai, telling themselves they’ll save up for a few years and then finally start living their dream. But the truth is, there’s never a perfect amount, and there’s never a perfect moment. If you keep waiting for the stars to align, you’ll never get started.

Here’s the real message: stop using “not enough money” or “not the right time” as excuses. Instead, ask yourself what project or dream you can start now that could actually generate the money you need. Often, it’s the project itself that brings in the resources, not the other way around.

Think about it: maybe you want to freelance, take on a better-paying job, or launch a side project. These actions can bring in the money you’re hoping for. If you keep telling yourself you need to save more before you start, and you’re not very disciplined, you’ll never reach that magic number. There will always be something else to spend on.

Discipline is key. Make a habit of saving, even if it’s just a small amount every week or month. When I lived in Australia, the UK, New Zealand, and Ireland, I noticed that rent is often paid weekly, not monthly like in some other countries. This made it easier to save a little each week. Whether it’s €3 or €30, what matters is consistency. As soon as you have enough for your first step, go for it. Life is too short to watch your dreams slip away.

Don’t let your dreams fly out of your hands because you waited too long. The perfect moment doesn’t exist. If you want something badly enough, and you go after it with real intensity, you’ll find a way to make it happen.

The perfect moment is a myth. Start now, with what you have, and let your project create the path forward. — Anonymous
