Living by your own choices means taking responsibility for your decisions and commitments. Many of us, shaped by our upbringing and environment, often feel indebted or obligated to give our time to others. If someone stops us in the street, asks for help, or requests a favor, we feel we must say yes. But here’s the truth: your life belongs to you, and your time is your most precious asset.
Time is life. It’s your plate, your heritage, your legacy. Living well is about collecting experiences, not just ticking off tasks or pleasing others. Experiences are what fuel our energy and enthusiasm. They are what make us feel alive. Building a life rich in experiences is what truly sets us apart.
When we feel obliged to do things we don’t enjoy, or give away our time just because we think it’s the right thing to do, we lose a piece of our freedom. Take, for example, signing up for a three-year phone contract just to save a bit of money on a new device. That’s not freedom. True freedom has a price, and sometimes it’s not the cheapest option. But freedom itself is priceless.
Once you adopt this mindset, you start to feel free. Free to make your own decisions, free to live unique experiences that money can’t buy. This is how you build an extraordinary life, one based on your own rules, your own methods, and your own way of seeing things.

I encourage you to try this for at least three weeks. There’s a saying that it takes about three weeks to see if a new habit fits you. Less than 21 days isn’t enough to know if a new way of seeing the world is right for you. But if you stick with it for 21 to 30 days, you’ll really see if it matches your personality and lifestyle.
Often, we buy things or accumulate stuff, but rarely do these things bring us lasting joy. On the other hand, living real experiences is simple, but it’s the heart of life. It’s what helps us grow, mature, and see the world differently. It gives us new lenses to push ourselves further.
That’s what I suggest you do: build a life full of experiences. Try new projects, both long-term and short-term. Experiment with habits, challenge your addictions, and change your perspective on what’s good or bad for you. Swap out old habits for better ones. Keep learning, keep growing.
I’m always learning myself. I read, I test, I build in public. Every new project, every new habit, is another experience that shapes who I am. And I believe that if you focus on building your own foundation, your own way of living, you’ll find the same sense of freedom and fulfillment.
If the path is beautiful and pleasant, you don’t ask where it leads.

The goal of life is to be happy, to live a life that feels right for you, a life that’s truly yours. Don’t wait for tomorrow. Start today. Take action now.
