Most people want to go far in life, maybe even further than they ever imagined. But there are moments when you have to leave your comfort zone, that little bubble you love so much. Here’s the thing: only those who are a bit out of touch with reality believe they can get something new, hope for a different life, while doing exactly what they’ve always done. If you keep repeating the same routines, you can’t expect anything to change. If you don’t change your habits, your routines, you’ll simply keep living the same life you’ve always had.
Leaving your comfort zone is about making space for the performance you want to achieve. If you want to improve, you have to step out of your comfort zone. But let’s be honest: people often say “step out of your comfort zone,” but you shouldn’t twist yourself into someone you’re not. It’s more about expanding your comfort zone. Stay true to yourself, but push your efforts, try new things, and see what fits. Sometimes, stepping out of your comfort zone means doing something that doesn’t suit you at all. So, yes, expand your comfort zone.
When you expand your comfort zone, you improve your skills and your performance. But before you can improve, you need to track your progress. If you don’t measure your efforts, you won’t know if you’re actually getting better. Tracking means measuring what you do. By doing this, you’ll see if you’re on the right path or if you need to adjust. The key is to always move forward and take action.
When you make new decisions, when you ask yourself, “What’s the next decision I need to make?” and you accept commitments that you know will benefit you, that’s how you improve. Of course, we can’t predict the future. If you realize that a commitment you made is no longer good for you, you have to cut it off. Say, “I can’t continue this anymore, sorry.” We’re all individuals, and sometimes you need to move on, just like quitting a job that’s become toxic or mentally draining. Don’t hesitate to hand in your resignation and move on to something new. Otherwise, you’ll stay stuck, trapped in a pit you can’t climb out of.
If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.
— Henry Ford
Don’t hesitate to add new habits to your daily life. Maybe you’ve never gone jogging in the morning—why not try it? You don’t know if it’s good for you until you try. Sometimes, we close doors to opportunities because we say, “That’s not for me.” But maybe it is. Trying a new habit isn’t twisting yourself into someone else; it’s just giving something a shot. If it doesn’t fit, don’t force it, but at least you tried.

Here’s a trick I used to motivate myself: I’d go to bed wearing my jogging clothes. That way, when I woke up, I was already dressed to run. Otherwise, I’d wake up, shower, and then think, “Not today, it’s too late, I’ll do something else instead.” But if you go to bed ready, you’re more likely to follow through. There’s nothing wrong with that. Sometimes, you have to make it as easy as possible for yourself to take action.
The best time to take action is today. Not tomorrow, not next week—today. We often undervalue ourselves for no reason, closing doors and not allowing ourselves to do things we could easily do. We put up limiting beliefs and barriers that hold us back. Instead, tell yourself, “Of course I can do it. Of course this is for me. I’m going for it.”
Do one thing every day that scares you.
— Eleanor Roosevelt
This mindset—“It’s for me, I’m doing it”—is what will help you push your limits. Instead of being someone who hopes for change but never actually changes, you’ll be the one who does something new every day. Every day, do something that gives you a little chill, something that scares you just a bit, because that’s how you expand your comfort zone. Stay true to your values, but try something new that helps you grow. Pushing yourself is the best gift you can give yourself, because it truly improves your performance and skills.
Always look for new opportunities and things you can do to reach the next level. I’ve spent over twelve years and more than $94,000 on seminars and training in the US, Ireland, the UK, Canada, Singapore, New Zealand, and Australia. I’ve condensed all that experience into my workshops and courses. For me, these are like my second brain—a way to organize and put into practice everything I’ve learned. Once I see something works for me, I share it with others.
At first, I kept all this knowledge to myself, storing it in Google Drive and note apps. But I realized I needed to stop being selfish and share it with others. That’s why I put everything on a platform where people can access it and benefit too. I want you to know that you can always improve, always expand your comfort zone, and always find new ways to grow.
The only limits in our life are those we impose on ourselves.
