How to Focus on One Thing Each Week for Bigger Results

Investing in your daily life is not just important—it is essential. The more you pour yourself into something, the more it becomes your obsession, your number one priority, the foundation on which you build your days. When you give all your energy to a single focus, your success naturally grows around it.
For example, I use a note-taking app to jot down the things I want to achieve. It helps me organize my life into different areas and projects. Each week, I pick one project and make it my main focus. I set a date, and for that week, I let myself become obsessed with making progress on that one thing. I might spend two or three hours a day on it—not the whole day, because most of us have jobs or other responsibilities. You might be employed, freelance, or in between jobs (a word I dislike, because everyone is working in some way, even if it’s not paid).
Even if you feel like you have nothing specific to work on right now, you can use your week to focus on just one thing. Often, if you step back, you’ll notice how many little tasks pull you away from your main goal. There’s always something: trimming the hedge, fixing the electricity, making soup for dinner, cooking lamb, changing the bedding. These are normal, necessary tasks. But sometimes, we get caught up in too many projects—drawing, uploading videos, writing a book, creating a new service. These are more relevant examples, especially if you want to build something meaningful.
It’s good to have a balanced day, mixing manual and intellectual activities. But most of the time, our minds are overflowing with things to do: errands, shopping, managing services, and new ideas we want to try. It feels productive, but in reality, spreading yourself too thin means you end up achieving very little.

This is the main message I want to share: for this week, try focusing all your energy on just one thing. You don’t need a fancy app. You can simply write down what you want to do and give it your full attention. Immerse yourself in it from morning to night. Even when you relax, you can watch videos related to your chosen topic. If you want to create a course about growing tomatoes on a balcony, spend your week watching gardening videos, planting tomatoes, and building your course bit by bit. By the end of the week, you’ll be amazed at how much you’ve accomplished.
The secret is to concentrate on one project, one goal, one thing at a time. This approach helps you achieve more and feel more fulfilled.
It’s also important to alternate between different types of activities to keep your days balanced and rich. Spending all day in front of a computer can leave you feeling drained. Start by clearing out the clutter and building a solid foundation. Then, explore minimalism, different activity areas, productivity, and personal fulfillment. The goal is to do more while feeling better and enjoying life more. Think about how you can use your freed-up time for things that truly matter.
