Have you ever thought about what makes you unique? Not just your personality, but that one thing you do or love that sets you apart. I’ve been reflecting on this idea of specificity, and I believe it’s one of the most important keys to living a fulfilling life.

For me, I’m passionate about happiness and personal growth. Life is simply too short not to enjoy it fully. The world is beautiful, and if you’re not feeling good where you are or in your current environment, it’s never too late to question things and make a change. That’s my own specificity: helping people find more joy and fulfillment every day. Waking up with the goal of making others happier or guiding them toward a more meaningful life feels incredible.

You should have your own unique spark too. Maybe it’s cooking—perhaps you love making rum babas or fancy desserts. Or maybe it’s sports, technology, or building startups that make people’s lives easier. It could be fashion, helping people dress with confidence, or even saving time through clever solutions. Whatever it is, having a specific passion helps shape your personality and gives you something special to share with the world.

When you work a regular job, you might not feel like you’re changing the world. But when you have a unique spark—even if it’s just a hobby—it can inspire others. My mother, for example, loves drawing. She’s really talented, and when she introduces herself, she proudly says she loves to draw. That passion inspires people around her.

Personally, I have several interests, but my main focus is personal growth and the art of living well. I also love animals and the color red, and I feel lucky to live in what I think is the most beautiful country in the world: Australia. I could have chosen to focus on nature preservation or being a tour guide in the outback, but I decided that my main specificity is personal development. It’s both my work and my passion. I’m also an engineer, but I always introduce myself through my love for personal growth.

Sometimes, we have many talents or interests—like having several strings to your bow, as the French say. But it’s important to choose one to highlight. That’s how I present myself, and I encourage you to do the same.

If you want to go even further in your personal growth and improve your life, I’ve created resources and content to help you on your journey.
