How to Find Real Happiness Without Chasing Success

Many people spend their lives chasing what they think is success. For most, that means having a lot of money, driving the best cars, getting the highest degrees, landing the top jobs, or building and selling startups for huge sums. The dream is to own the most beautiful houses, maybe even several, scattered around the world. But in this race, something important gets lost: actually enjoying life and feeling well.

I want to talk about a different kind of success—the kind measured by happiness and well-being in your daily life. For me, real success is simply living a happy life. It’s waking up in the morning without stress, feeling good, and having enough money to be free from worry. You don’t need to be a billionaire. You just need enough to live comfortably, to treat yourself now and then, maybe go out to eat when you want, or travel if you feel like it.

You don’t need a mountain of cash sitting in your bank account, gathering dust. What matters is having a safety net. If you want to take a year off work, you know you’ll be fine. If you get sick, you know you can take care of yourself. That’s real freedom. Chasing the status of being a millionaire or billionaire just for the title doesn’t bring much value to your life.

So, how do you get there? Start by finding a hobby or passion that you can turn into a source of income. Maybe you teach, offer a service, or do some coaching. For example, I sell my courses on a platform called Podia. It’s not about having the most students or the highest ratings. If you focus only on numbers, you’ll end up in another race, always chasing more and enjoying less.

Instead, think about what makes you feel good. Maybe you only need a few clients or students to live well. There are many platforms out there, and you can even host your own courses. Podia works well and isn’t too expensive, especially if you sign up during Black Friday when they offer discounts. That way, you can keep your costs down and renew at a lower price each year.

You can also look at different ways to set up your business. For example, in Estonia, you can create a company even if you live elsewhere. They have a digital system that makes it easy for people who travel or live in different countries to run their business. You get access to government services and can open a bank account there. It’s a practical solution for people who want more freedom.

In the end, success isn’t about having the most money or the biggest company. It’s about living a good life, feeling well every day, and knowing you have enough. That’s the kind of happiness worth adding to your daily routine.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

The happiest people don’t have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything.
