Today, I want to share a few small adventures and observations that might seem trivial at first, but actually hold a lot of meaning. Right now, I’m sitting in my coworking space, where I stumbled upon something amusing: a soda machine. It’s nothing fancy, just a setup with sparkling water and a few syrups—think of it like the grenadine syrup you might have as a kid. I grabbed a cup, poured myself some sparkling water, and added a splash of syrup. It’s a simple pleasure, but it made me smile.

The heat is intense here in Australia—39 degrees and the sun is still blazing as it sets. I decided to take my drink up to the rooftop. The air is thick and warm, the kind that makes you slow down and appreciate the moment. There’s a bit of food left, though the cheese has disappeared (and what’s left has melted in the heat). Still, it’s a good spot to sit and think.

What struck me is how these little things—good weather, a simple drink, a nice view—can make life feel richer. Sometimes, when you’re not happy with your life, you just need a change of scenery. I know many French people who move to places like Thailand, Indonesia, Bali, Malaysia, or even Dubai, searching for a better way to live. There are always great places to go, where you can enjoy good food and a slower pace, just like in Spain or Italy. Of course, Spain isn’t in Asia, but the point is that the culture of enjoying life can be found in many places.

I watched a video recently about people living in Thailand. I haven’t been there myself yet, but it’s fascinating. Some people have entire villages to themselves, with pools and everything. Most don’t live in Bangkok, which is crowded and polluted. Instead, they choose small towns by the sea, where life is gentle and they truly enjoy their days.

Life is short. You don’t have to make a huge commitment to change everything forever. Try living somewhere new for three or six months—treat it like a vacation. You can keep your home base and see if you like the new place. If you do, great. If not, you can always move on. The most important thing is to build a life you enjoy, one that feels right for you.

Life is too short to settle for a routine that doesn’t make you happy.

Sometimes, happiness is just a cup of soda and a sunset away.
