How to Find Happiness Without Chasing Success

Many people believe that living a good life means chasing after success. We often think it’s about grabbing the biggest opportunities, getting the best degrees, landing the top jobs, and earning the highest salaries. Maybe you even dream of starting your own business and seeing the biggest number possible in your bank account.

But after all that running, you might realize you have no time left for anything else. If you’re in a relationship, you never have time for your partner—not even for a simple dinner together. If you have children, you’re always unavailable, impossible to reach, and you don’t really enjoy your personal or family life. Whether it’s time with your parents, siblings, your significant other, or your kids, you’re always missing out.

Isn’t that also part of what success should be? Isn’t a fulfilled life about more than just work and money? For me, true success is also about living a life where you can enjoy these moments with the people you love.

It’s easy to get caught up in the race for more—more achievements, more money, more recognition. But what’s the point if you’re never really present for the things that matter most? The real measure of a fulfilling life isn’t just what you achieve, but how much you truly live and share with others.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. — Albert Schweitzer

The best things in life aren’t things. — Art Buchwald
