Taking a moment to reflect on what truly feels good for you can change everything. Imagine sitting quietly, maybe on a bench somewhere, and asking yourself: “Is what I’m doing today really good for me? Am I happy with how I spend my days? What could I change to feel better?”

It’s easy to get caught up in routines that slowly chip away at our happiness. Sometimes, without even noticing, we let habits or obligations take priority over our well-being. That’s why it’s so important to step back and question things from time to time.

Ask yourself if your daily actions are really helping you grow or if they’re holding you back. Are you genuinely satisfied with what you do, or are you just going through the motions? Maybe what you’re planning for today isn’t actually helping you feel fulfilled. Maybe you don’t even enjoy it. If that’s the case, you have the power to make changes, even small ones.

You don’t always have to make huge life decisions. Sometimes, it’s enough to tweak how you approach your tasks. For example, if you dislike mowing the lawn, try listening to an interesting podcast or an audiobook while you do it. Personally, I enjoy playing a movie I’ve already seen on my phone and just listening to the dialogue. It turns a boring chore into something much more pleasant.

If you’re not enjoying your work, try changing your environment. Move your desk, or work from a different place once in a while. If you can, take your laptop to a café for an afternoon, or work from home a couple of days a week. If you already work remotely, why not book a flight to a nearby country and work from there for a few days? Imagine spending Thursday and Friday working from Finland, Denmark, Norway, Malta, or Italy. After work, you can explore a new city, and then enjoy a weekend getaway.

This simple shift can completely change how you feel about your week. Monday mornings might still be tough, but knowing you’ll be somewhere new by Thursday or Friday can make all the difference. Even just working from a different city can give you a fresh perspective on your routine.

Taking time to reflect and adjust, even in small ways, can make your days much brighter. Give yourself permission to question, to try something different, and to find what truly feels good for you.
