Feeling happy, feeling good—this is what we all want, isn’t it? At the end of the day, the real goal in life is to be happy. When happiness is there, everything else seems to fall into place. But when we’re unhappy, even the simplest tasks feel heavy. It’s hard to be present in the moment because there’s this weight on your chest, a mental load that drags you down. You can’t really enjoy things, you can’t savor the little moments, because you just don’t feel right inside. It’s like a fog that keeps you from being fully there.

But when you’re happy, everything feels easier. It’s as if you’ve put on a new pair of glasses and suddenly the world looks different. You notice more, you smile more, and you say “yes” to new opportunities without hesitation. Happiness makes you open to life. People notice your good mood and are more likely to offer you new chances. You become more curious, less guarded. When you’re unhappy, you tend to be suspicious, a bit on edge, and afraid to say yes to things. But when you’re comfortable in your own skin, when you feel really good, you trust others more easily.

And here’s something important: most people on this planet are kind. Maybe not everyone, but a huge majority—let’s say 90%, maybe even 95%—are good and well-meaning. When you’re happy, it’s easier to see that and to connect with others.
