Taking care of yourself does not always mean big changes. Sometimes, it is about finding small moments in your day to pause and breathe. These little breaks can make a real difference in how you feel, both in your body and your mind.

One of the best ways to reset during a busy day is to schedule a few short relaxation breaks. I recommend taking three to five pauses throughout your day. During these moments, focus on your breathing. This is not just about catching your breath, but about being truly present.

My favorite exercise is a simple breathing technique. Here is how you can do it:

  1. Breathe in through your nose, letting your belly and chest fill with air.
  2. Hold your breath for two seconds.
  3. Inhale again, slowly, for about four to six seconds.
  4. Hold your breath for another three or four seconds.
  5. Exhale gently through your mouth, letting your belly and chest relax. Try to make this exhale last six, seven, or even eight seconds.
  6. Repeat this cycle six or seven times.

While you do this, focus on your body and your breath. Notice how you feel. Are you recovering? Are you present? This is a simple way to bring yourself back to the moment and let go of pressure. After a few rounds, you will feel calmer and more at ease.

Breathing exercises are not just about relaxation. They help you reconnect with yourself. They remind you that life is about feeling good and being happy. Time passes quickly, much faster than we often realize. It is the one thing we can never get back, so it is important to make the most of every moment.

The purpose of life is to be happy and fulfilled. Life goes by much faster than we think, and time is the only resource we cannot recover.
