When we talk about personal nourishment, it’s not just about food or exercise. It’s about feeding your well-being, your soul, and your true self. This is essential, because the way you see things—whether you focus on the positive or the negative—changes everything. If you always see the glass as half full, your whole world shifts.

Being positive isn’t just a nice idea. It’s a way of life that shapes your experiences. When I wake up in the morning and head out with a positive mindset, I’m more open to opportunities. I’m less stressed, less fearful, and more likely to say yes to new things. I smile more, which makes people more likely to approach me. Even luck seems to be on my side. I don’t really believe in luck, but I’ve noticed that when I’m positive, I’m less likely to have accidents or run into trouble. Negativity makes you fragile and vulnerable, and people can sense that. It’s almost like you become a target for bad experiences.

Positivity also makes you more receptive to the world around you. If a friend invites you out for dinner, you’re more likely to say yes, and that could lead to new connections and opportunities. The same goes for health—being positive strengthens your immune system. Everything lights up when you feed your mind with good things.

But this isn’t just about telling you to “be positive.” Life is never all black or all white. There’s always something good to find, even in tough times. I truly believe that if we focus on positivity, we can change our lives and our environment for the better. Complaining about the news or seeing everything as terrible won’t help you improve your surroundings. Instead, look for the opportunities, the inventions, the connections waiting to happen. When you’re excited and full of energy, people feel it and are drawn to your ideas. If you’re always cautious and see danger everywhere, you’ll stay stuck and nothing will change.

Personal nourishment means feeding your soul. It’s about knowing yourself—your strengths, your values, what makes you tick. Take time to reflect: Who am I? How can I communicate better? How can I grow? Taking action, even small steps, is part of this nourishment.

It’s also about being open-minded. Don’t judge others just because they’re different. Everyone has their own background and way of seeing the world. What’s normal for you might be strange for someone else, and vice versa. If we all made the effort to see things from another person’s perspective, the world would be a much better place. Misunderstandings often happen because we’re stuck in our own way of thinking. Sometimes, someone’s bad mood has nothing to do with you at all.

Open-mindedness lifts us up. It helps us stay one step ahead and support each other. If you want to succeed at something, surround yourself with people who have already done it. If you want to be a famous actor, live with people in the film industry. If you want to launch a startup, join a co-living space or a “hacker house” with others who share your goals. Even if you don’t talk to millionaires, just living around them lets you observe their routines and energy, and you start to pick up their habits.

There are so many creative ways to connect with like-minded people. For example, there’s the “Startup Bus”—a five-day journey where you build a startup with a team of developers, designers, and influencers. You help each other, learn from each other, and grow together. I’d love to try it myself one day.

Feeding your mind with positive things is like giving good fertilizer to a plant. It helps you grow. Listen to podcasts, read books, watch inspiring videos. I love audiobooks and have a whole collection on Kindle. Books like “Limitless” by Jim Kwik or “Sell It Like Serhant” are packed with ideas that help you see things differently. Every time I listen to a podcast or read a new book, I learn something valuable.

It’s important to keep your mind open, stay curious, and always look for ways to improve. Even on a relaxed Sunday, I find time to feed my mind with something positive. Focus, discretion, and surrounding yourself with successful, driven people will help you move forward.

So, keep nourishing your mind and soul. Stay positive, stay open, and keep learning. That’s how you create a better life for yourself and those around you.
