How to Build Your Own Well-Being Bubble Without Hiding Away

Imagine living inside a protective bubble—a space where you can truly thrive, grow, and feel safe. I call this my “well-being bunker.” It’s not about hiding from the world, but about giving yourself the right soil to grow, just like a healthy plant. Think about it: a seedling planted in rich, fertile soil will grow much faster and stronger than one stuck by the side of a polluted, concrete road. The same goes for us.

When you’re in an environment that supports you, everything becomes easier. If you’re always surrounded by negativity, clutter, or stress, it’s much harder to move forward. Sure, you can still succeed, but it will take longer and feel more painful. The more obstacles you face, the more likely you are to make mistakes or lose your energy along the way. Eventually, you might even give up.

But when you put yourself in a place that lifts you up—where things are clean, safe, and positive—you give yourself the best chance to be happy and fulfilled. This is the kind of life I want to introduce you to: a life where you feel good, where you can keep reaching for the next level, and where happiness becomes your natural state.

Now, you might be thinking, “That’s easy for you to say, but I live in a tiny apartment. How am I supposed to have a beautiful life here?” The truth is, it starts in your mind. Your surroundings matter, but your attitude matters even more. Living in a small space isn’t an excuse. You can make your home beautiful, no matter where you are.

Start by looking at all the things you’ve collected. Chances are, you have a lot of stuff you haven’t used in months. Here’s a simple trick: put everything you haven’t used today into plastic bins, label them with today’s date, and set them aside. In three to six months, check those bins again. If you haven’t needed anything inside, it’s time to let it go—donate, sell, or throw it away. This is the first step to clearing out the clutter.

Next, focus on making your space pleasant to live in. For example, I always close doors and cabinets. Open wardrobes or messy shelves make a room feel chaotic. It’s a small habit, but it makes a big difference. Don’t leave things open or lying around just because your building isn’t fancy. Close things right away, and you’ll feel better instantly.

Another habit: clean as you go. If you use a dish, wash it right away. Don’t let dirty plates pile up in the sink. It might seem like a small thing, but it adds up to mental clutter and stress. Don’t leave scraps of paper or fabric lying around. Keep your space clear, and you’ll notice a huge change in how you feel.

Add some plants to your home. They don’t cost much—at IKEA, you can get a plant for just a couple of euros. If you have money for candy (which isn’t good for you anyway), skip the sweets and buy a plant instead. You won’t die from not eating candy; in fact, you’ll feel better. Use the money you save from not buying junk food or cigarettes to make your home a healthier, happier place.

Building your own well-being bunker isn’t about luxury or big spaces. It’s about small, daily choices that add up to a life where you feel good, safe, and ready to grow.
