Building the life you dream of is a challenge that most of us face. We often imagine ourselves as startup founders, wealthy entrepreneurs, doctors, engineers, or programmers. Sometimes, these dreams come from a movie we watched or an influencer we follow online. We think, “Wow, if I had that life, I’d be happy.” But when it comes down to it, we don’t really know where to start. We get confused, lost in inspiration, and end up searching for online courses or tutorials instead of taking real steps.

The truth is, the simplest method is to act. Time won’t wait for you. If you want to do something, you have to start now. Maybe you want to launch a startup. Don’t waste time looking for the most fashionable idea. Instead, focus on solving a problem you already have. It’s much easier to be your own first user. If you’re not the right target, how can you create something truly useful?

Start by identifying a problem that bothers you enough to want to fix it. This is your starting point. Next, make sure it’s a problem that comes up often and is urgent enough to need a solution. At the same time, it shouldn’t cost you a fortune to solve. If your solution is expensive to build, you’ll have to charge even more, and your profit margins will shrink. But if you can solve a painful, frequent problem at a low cost, you can offer your solution at a good price and keep healthy margins.

For example, subscription services or SaaS products work well when they address a real pain point. If the problem is urgent and annoying, people will pay for a solution. And if it doesn’t cost you much to provide, that’s even better.

Once you’ve found your problem, you can develop a solution yourself or outsource the work. In the past, I created several products and small businesses using platforms like Upwork. It’s not always easy to find the right people, but with some effort, you can. Alternatively, you can build things yourself. Coding has become much more accessible, with ready-made libraries and frameworks available. There are even templates for building SaaS products quickly, like Gravity. While some tools can be pricey, they can also help you get started faster.

The key is to create something that matters to you. Don’t chase after the shiniest idea. Solve a problem that genuinely annoys you. If your dream is to become a doctor or something else entirely, take direct steps toward that goal. If you can’t afford medical school yet, take on small jobs, offer services on platforms like Fiverr, or teach languages on sites like italki. I even made a video showing how to set up your profile and get verified on italki, so you can start teaching and earn a steady income.

The most important thing is to act. Don’t waste your time scrolling the internet, looking for the perfect solution. When you take action, you learn from your mistakes. Instead of spending days searching for the best idea, do something concrete. Build, create, and learn as you go.
