Have you ever caught yourself saying, “I just don’t have time”? Maybe you’re busy, always running from one thing to the next, but deep down, you know there’s something you want to do for yourself. Maybe you want to learn a new skill, start a project, or simply do something that makes you happy. The truth is, no matter how packed your schedule is, you always have at least half an hour to dedicate to something that matters to you.

Let’s be honest: saying you don’t have time is just an excuse. If something is important enough, you find the time. Think about it. You wouldn’t say, “I don’t have time to brush my teeth, I’ll do it tomorrow,” or “I don’t have time to eat, I’ll skip meals for a week.” That would sound ridiculous. Yet, we often treat our dreams and personal projects this way, pushing them aside as if they don’t deserve a spot in our daily routine.

I work a demanding job with long hours and a lot of responsibility. Still, I manage to create things outside of work. I’ve published online courses and worked on personal projects, all because I made them a priority. Even if you only have ten minutes a day, that adds up. Ten minutes a day for a week is over an hour spent learning or creating something new. If you want to learn video editing, for example, and you practice a little each day, by the end of the week, you’ll have made real progress.

The key is to start. Pick something you truly want to do for yourself. It doesn’t have to be big. The important thing is to make it a regular part of your life. If your current routine isn’t the life you want, why not change it? There’s never a perfect moment to begin. The right time is now. Everything seems more complicated in your head, but there’s always a solution if you really want it. When you make something your top priority, everything else falls into place.

Here’s a simple plan: write down what you want to achieve by the end of the week. Give yourself a clear, measurable goal and a deadline. Then, each day, spend ten to thirty minutes working toward it. At the end of the week, check your progress. Next week, set a new goal. This steady, daily effort creates a snowball effect. Little by little, you’ll see real change.
