When it comes to building a life that feels truly successful, there’s one thing that stands above all else: confidence in your own decisions and projects. Every day, you have things you want to achieve. It’s not just important, it’s essential to step out of your comfort zone and focus on these projects. Trusting in what you’re doing changes everything.

Believing in your project, in what you’re creating, is the foundation. The moment you tell yourself, “I can do this, I will accomplish what I set out to do,” you start moving forward. Even the things you struggled to begin suddenly become possible, simply because you believe you know what you want and what you need to do.

Every morning, you wake up knowing the steps you need to take to move closer to your goal. Channeling your energy into what you want, into what you believe in, makes a huge difference. Focus on what you truly want, not on what you no longer want in your life. If you spend your time and energy on things you don’t want, you’ll only drift further from your goals and ambitions.

Sometimes, we get stuck asking ourselves, “How am I going to do this?” or “What should I do now?” These questions can become toxic, filling your mind with doubt and stopping you from taking action. Instead, you need to move forward, step by step. Ask yourself what you can do today, tomorrow, and by the end of the week. I recommend taking a weekly look back: How did my week go? Am I happy with it? This simple habit can change the way you see your life.

Doubt is the enemy of progress. If you doubt yourself, you reflect that doubt in your actions, and that leads to failure. Doubt makes you stray from your path. Instead, repeat positive things to yourself. Use affirmations. Keep your goal in sight. If you doubt, your life will mirror that doubt. That’s why it’s so important to repeat positive affirmations and visualize your success. A vision board can help you stay on track.

Replace negativity with positive thoughts and actions. Stop saying things that hold you back, like “I’m not smart,” “I’m tired,” or “I’m fed up.” These thoughts build mental barriers and put you in the opposite state of mind from where you want to be. Instead, tell yourself, “I am smart, I am attractive, I will succeed, I know I’m on the path to success.” This kind of self-talk puts you in the right mindset for success.

A good life is simple: it’s about having control over your own life. When you’re disciplined, you create a beautiful life. A successful life is just a collection of good days—days that bring you joy. If you have many pleasant days, you’ve succeeded.

That’s why it’s so important to believe in your dreams. If you don’t, that’s what you’ll regret at the end of your life. If you accomplish what you truly want, you’ll have a beautiful, successful life—a series of days you enjoyed.

Always keep a positive vision of what you want to achieve and what you know is good for you. If you’re certain you can succeed, and you tell yourself that no matter how hard it gets, you just have to want it enough, you’ll get there. Life is complex, but also simple. Our minds often make things harder than they are. Life isn’t that difficult, but we can feel overwhelmed by all the things we want to do and by daily distractions—like notifications on your phone.

If you keep things simple, everything gets easier. Living a bit more minimally means fewer problems, because most problems come from the complexity we create in our minds. There’s not as much complexity as we think.

When you feel worried or afraid, swap that feeling for calm. Change doubt into certainty. Tell yourself, “I’m on the path to success. Today, I’m going to give it my all.” Ask yourself, “What can I do right now, today, that will have the biggest impact?” This helps you find your top priority, and that makes all the difference.

We often make life seem harder than it is. Our problems are tiny compared to the scale of the universe. Sometimes, I look up at the stars and realize my problems are just dust in the grand scheme of things.

Our limits are often self-imposed. If you want to succeed, you have to let go of these mental barriers. Your success depends on how you interpret things and, most of all, on your conditioning. If your conditioning drags you down, it will stop you from going further. The only real limit is the one you create in your mind. Once you realize this, you can go much further.

Sometimes, we’re blind to what’s possible. We tell ourselves life is hard, or we can’t do something because of this or that. But positive affirmations and personal mottos help you build the right mindset. If you repeat them daily, you start to live on the path to lasting success. Your subconscious will reflect what you want to achieve.
