How to Boost Focus by Choosing the Right Environment

Phone is ringing and we need to stay productive! How to Boost Focus by Choosing the Right Environment - Photo by Andreas Klassen on Unsplash

Have you ever noticed how your environment can completely change the way you feel? Sometimes, just hearing sirens outside or being in a crowded, noisy place can make you feel stressed or even trapped. It’s not just in your head—where you are really does affect your mood and productivity.

That’s why picking the right environment is so important. Today, I want to encourage you to pause and think about where you are right now. Are you in a place that lifts you up, or does it weigh you down? Try to remember the places where you felt truly comfortable and happy. Maybe it was during a holiday, or even just a simple moment in your daily life.

For me, one of those places was in Kent. Not long ago, I lived in Cannes, and I loved it there. I stayed in a small bungalow-style apart-hotel with a pool. In the evenings, I would go for a swim. The climate was a bit tropical—humid and warm—but I enjoyed it. There was something fresh and stimulating about it. I loved reading there, and I often went for bike rides. That was the kind of environment that suited me perfectly.

What about you? What is your ideal environment? Where do you feel most at ease, most inspired, or most productive? Sometimes, it’s not about luxury or being far away. It’s about finding a place that matches your energy and helps you be your best self.
