Have you ever wondered how to truly become an expert in a specific field? Not just someone who knows a little, but the person everyone turns to for advice. The answer might be simpler than you think, and it starts with looking back at your own story.

Think about when you were between 9 and 12 years old. This is a special age, right before the world starts to influence you too much. Before classmates, friends, and trends start shaping your choices. At that age, you were probably drawn to things naturally, without worrying about what others thought.

For me, I was obsessed with Playmobil. I could spend hours playing, building stories, and creating worlds. Now, if I decided to sell collectible Playmobil sets on a platform like Shopify, I know I would wake up excited every morning. That passion would drive me, and I would want to keep going, learning, and sharing.

Your childhood passion might be something else. Maybe you loved drawing, fixing things, or dancing. The important thing is to ask yourself: What did I love doing before anyone told me what was cool or useful?

Another way to find your area of expertise is to notice what people ask you for help with. Are you the go-to person for tech problems, website advice, or maybe dance moves? If your friends and family always call you for a certain skill, that’s a big clue. It means you already stand out in that area, and you might enjoy going even deeper.

We all have a unique field that fits us perfectly. The trick is to look for it, try it out, and see if it really makes you happy. If it does, double down. Put in the effort, and see how far you can go. That’s how you find out if it’s your true passion.

The things you are passionate about are not random. They are your calling.
