The Art of Being Fully Present

Committing 100% to Your Life: The Precious Moment Method

How giving your all to every moment changes everything

There’s something powerful about investing yourself completely in every project, every conversation, every small task you take on. It’s not just about being involved; it’s about being all in, every single time. When I talk about giving 100%, I mean pouring all your energy into what you’re doing—sometimes it feels like giving 300%.

Whenever you start something, leave distractions behind. Put all those nagging thoughts, worries, and mental clutter aside. Everything is possible when you focus. If you let your mind wander, you end up doing mediocre work. So, when you’re working on something, be fully present. If someone tries to interrupt you, even if it’s family, your partner, your kids, or friends, let them know you’re busy. Tell them, “I’ll be available in 30 minutes,” or whatever time you need. Organize your time this way, and you’ll see the difference.

One trick I use is wearing noise-cancelling headphones. When I put them on, I’m completely focused. My attention is on my task, and nothing else.

It’s normal to have distracting thoughts. But if they get in the way, what’s the point? You won’t be able to give your best. When a distracting thought pops up, treat it like an unwelcome guest—show it the door. The more disciplined you are, the easier it gets. Meditation helps a lot with this. Meditate in the morning, at night, or even several times a day. Meditation is like a workout for your brain. You focus on one thing, like your breath, or the sounds around you. I prefer to focus on my breathing and on myself. This strengthens your mind so it doesn’t wander. The more you meditate, the easier it becomes to stay focused.

When you do this, you’ll notice your work improves. Not only that, but when you talk with someone, you’ll be truly present. Instead of giving half-hearted answers, you’ll be there, really listening. This applies to everything. When you’re 100% invested in what you do, you produce better results and feel more satisfied. You’ll actually live in the present, and that’s when life feels richer.

Too often, we multitask—eating while watching a movie, or scrolling through videos while having a meal. But then, you don’t even taste your food. You miss out on the pleasure of eating. The same goes for conversations. If you’re talking to someone but have a podcast or TV on in the background, you’re never really there. Even the radio can disrupt a good conversation. These distractions pull you away from the moment.

So, turn off notifications. Turn off the background noise. Be 100% in every moment of your life. That’s how you get the most out of everything you do.

Wherever you are, be all there.
