Being determined to go far, to build a beautiful life, to change, and to be passionate about what you do—these are the real keys that help you move forward quickly. When you are truly passionate about something, when you have a clear and specific goal, and when you do something every single day, even if it’s just for twenty minutes, you make progress. It’s not about drifting through your days, letting time slip away on social media or wandering aimlessly. Instead, it’s about making sure that, no matter how busy you are, you carve out a little time each day to move closer to your goal.
This daily effort, even if it’s small, is what helps you grow. Every day, you learn something new, you apply it to your life, and you get a little better. Over time, these small improvements add up. You start to notice the areas where you can still improve, the things you want to do, and you begin to see how long it might take to get there. Setting a clear deadline helps. For example, I gave myself one month to create and publish a short comic book. One month might seem short, but I started with just ten pages. Starting small is the trick. Instead of aiming for a massive project like a 120-page Tintin-style comic, which can feel overwhelming and lead to giving up, I reduced the friction by starting with something manageable.
Reducing friction at the beginning of any task is crucial. The more obstacles you face at the start, the more likely you are to abandon your goal halfway through. That’s why the principle of mini habits is so powerful. Do something tiny—really tiny—every day. Instead of telling yourself you’ll do forty push-ups, just do five or even two every morning. Once you get going, you might feel like doing more. For my comic, maybe after the first ten pages, I’ll feel ready to take on a bigger project. But first, I want to understand the process, see what it takes, and learn from it.

A month is actually a lot for ten pages, but there’s more to it than just drawing. There’s the whole process: publishing, creating a cover, setting up an Amazon KDP account, and so on. Once I know the steps, it will be faster and easier next time because I’ll be familiar with the path. It’s like going on a hike for the first time—the way there feels long because everything is new, but the return trip is quicker because you recognize the landmarks. Life works the same way. Once you know the route, you move with more confidence.
