Feeling at peace is something we all need. Tranquility isn’t just a luxury—it’s a real necessity. When we’re calm, rested, and safe, we can recharge our energy and give the best of ourselves. This makes all the difference in our lives.

Let’s talk about rest. True rest happens when you feel good, calm, and secure in your surroundings. In English, there’s a term for this: safe space. A safe space is a place where you feel free to express yourself, to show your mistakes, to learn from others, and to know you won’t be judged. When you create this kind of culture at home, with family or friends, it changes everything.

Sharing your safe space with others—inviting them in, talking about what you’re learning, asking what they’re discovering—creates a real sense of connection. For example, I love sharing what I’m reading. Right now, I’m revisiting an old book that my mother brought me all the way to Australia. It’s almost ten years old, but I enjoy reading books from periods of my life that I loved. Rereading them brings back those good moments, and I wonder if you feel the same. For me, it’s a real pleasure to remember happy times.

Even if a book is a bit outdated, when I read it in a pleasant place—like my room with a view of the hills and the sound of birds—I feel truly happy. My eyes light up, I feel moved, and I think, “Wow, this does me so much good.” This is something you can cultivate for yourself. Reread things you love, whether it’s a novel, a biography, or anything else. The important thing is to enjoy the moment and the place you’re in.

The environment around us matters. When you’re in a safe, inspiring place, you feel happier and more alive. It helps you live a great life. Investing in your surroundings, your knowledge, your well-being, and your health is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

If the path is beautiful, don’t ask where it leads. Just enjoy the journey.

At the end of the day, what matters is not where life is taking you, but how good the journey feels. Enjoy the present moment, make the most of your environment, and invest in yourself. That’s what I wish for you: a life full of well-being and happiness, because you truly deserve it.

And remember, the best time to take action is now. There’s no point in putting off what you want to do today. If you want something deeply, if you’re obsessed with it, and you keep going, you’ll get there—even if you have to work harder than others. The most important thing is to want it enough and to keep moving forward.

Everything is possible if you really want it. If you’re obsessed, if you persevere, you’ll get what you want.

The best investment you can make is in your own life and your everyday happiness. I’m with you all the way—go for it, and you’ll go far. Life is beautiful, but you have to start now.

Upon moving out of this beautiful historic home I will cherish all its quirks, the beautiful light, and all my memories from the past 5 years. How Safe Spaces Help You Recharge Without Feeling Alone - Photo by Kari Shea on Unsplash
