How I Stopped Waiting and Started Living My Own Life

Living Authentically

Have you ever looked back and realized you haven’t lived the life you truly wanted? Maybe you’ve heard your parents or grandparents express regret about following a path set by society, not their own desires. They felt the weight of social pressure, unable to make the choices that would have fulfilled them. It’s a quiet heartbreak—realizing there’s no way to rewind and reclaim lost years spent living someone else’s script.

That realization is sobering. I’ve seen it in others, and I’ve felt it myself. The sense of being stuck, of letting time slip by without becoming the person you wanted to be, is unsettling. I sometimes joke that I’m turning into a comedian just to lighten the mood, but the truth is, it’s a heavy subject. We only get one shot at this life.

The Trap of “Enough” Time and Money

A common excuse for not taking action is believing you don’t have enough time or money. Maybe you’ve told yourself, “I’ll start when I have more time,” or “I need to save up before I can make a change.” But the truth is, you’ll never have “enough.” Time and money are always limited. Waiting for the perfect moment is just another way to delay living authentically.

Even in small moments, I’m reminded of this. I love seeing my laptop on my bed, surrounded by pillows—it takes me back to childhood pillow fights with friends and my sister. Back then, we didn’t wait for permission to have fun. As adults, we trade that spontaneity for hesitation and excuses.

Take Daily Action—One Project at a Time

So, what’s the alternative? For me, it’s about taking daily initiatives. Every day, I try to move forward, even if it’s just a small step. Staying focused is tough—distractions are everywhere. I’ve learned that focusing on one project at a time is essential.

Right now, I’m working on a nutrition app called M Snap. You scan your food, track your eating habits, and see your progress. Designing this app taught me that if something is too complicated, no one will use it—especially when you’re hungry and your plate of spaghetti is calling. The real lesson? It’s easy to lose track of your goals. You can waste hours chasing trivial information (like which reality TV star ate only spaghetti with parmesan—still a mystery to me). Before you know it, the day is gone, and you haven’t made real progress. Time slips away while you’re distracted, and the years pass with nothing to show for them.

Take Control: Tools and Support

At some point, you have to take your life into your own hands. For me, that’s meant building tools like M Snap and creating resources to help others do the same. I developed a training program called “Immersion Profonde,” which I regularly update. It’s designed to boost productivity and efficiency, but more importantly, it helps you take concrete action on your projects—without falling into endless procrastination.

Most productivity advice focuses on working harder and being more disciplined. That matters, but if all you do is grind, you risk sacrificing your happiness. My approach is different: I want you to be productive and fulfilled. The goal is to clear away the clutter in your daily life so you can start strong, stay focused, and actually enjoy the process.

The Best Time Is Now

If you take one thing from this, let it be this: the best time to act is now. Don’t put off what you want to do. There’s no sense in postponing your dreams, waiting for a perfect future that will never arrive. What matters is what you do today.

So go for it. I’m rooting for you. Take that first step—no matter how small—and start living the life you want, not the one others expect of you.
