How I Channel Friday Night Energy Into Everyday Life

Personal habits, mindful eating, and daily writing can transform routines into sources of lasting motivation and fulfillment.

There’s a unique energy to Friday night—a sense of anticipation and possibility. What if you could channel that same excitement into your daily life, not just for weekends or special occasions, but for the routines and projects that matter most to you? The key isn’t waiting for inspiration; it’s building habits that genuinely carry you forward, day after day.

Why Your Routine Must Matter

When you develop a project or habit that truly resonates with you, it can transform your day. Whether it’s running every morning, writing about your strengths, or visualizing what you’re proud of, these routines shift your perspective. They boost happiness, increase fulfillment, and build confidence.

The real challenge isn’t starting a routine—it’s sticking with it. Life changes: new relationships, a move, a different job. Suddenly, habits that once felt natural can conflict with your new lifestyle. The temptation is to let them slide, promising yourself you’ll return to them later. But if a routine is truly important—if it’s part of your personal constitution—it’s non-negotiable.

My Journey: Food, Technology, and Consistency

Nutrition has always been a cornerstone for me. I want to know exactly what I’m eating and whether it’s good for my health. This focus has lasted over a decade. In October 2017, I tried going vegan. It was tough, especially since I love cheese—sheep’s, goat’s, cow’s milk, even Roquefort. While plant-based milk is fine in coffee or hot chocolate, cheese was my Achilles’ heel. After two months, I switched to vegetarianism, cutting out meat and fish for six years. Only recently have I started eating fish again, and even then, only occasionally.

This commitment to mindful eating led me to develop habits—and tools—to support it. I use an app called ML Snap to scan and track the foods I eat. It’s available on iOS and helps me stay accountable to my nutritional goals. Before that, in 2018, I launched an open-source project called Lifeazor (LIFYZER), which allowed users to scan foods with QR codes and rate them. Unlike other apps, it was community-driven, and the code is still available on GitHub. With advances in AI, I later developed ML Snap to make food tracking even more seamless.

My key routine is simple: I spend at least half an hour each day working on a feature for my app. If I don’t finish, that’s okay. Progress, even in small increments, is still progress. The important thing is to keep moving forward, step by step.

Writing as a Daily Anchor

Writing also grounds me. I regularly update my book, Le succès n’est pas loin (“Success Is Not Far Away”), and encourage readers to share their honest feedback. Writing about my experiences, strengths, and gratitude helps me visualize my day and recognize what I’m proud of. This routine boosts my confidence and brings clarity and joy.

The Routine That Guides and Protects

A meaningful routine is more than a checklist—it’s like a stake that supports a growing tree. It lifts you up, protects you, and guides you as you reach for new goals. Each small achievement, each new project, becomes a stepping stone toward the life you want. Over time, these steps add up to a life you can be proud of—a life that feels uniquely yours.

The only real limits are the ones you set for yourself. If you want something, it’s possible. The best moment to start is always today. A beautiful life is simply a collection of beautiful days. Happiness comes from maximizing those moments of joy, every single day.
