How Creating Beautiful Things Can Change Your Life

There’s something deeply satisfying about making beautiful things. Whether it’s every day or just on weekends, taking time to create something that truly brings you joy can change your life in ways you might not expect. It’s not just about the pleasure you get in the moment, but also about the lasting sense of fulfillment and pride that comes from building something meaningful.

Think about the difference between quick pleasures and lasting gratification. Eating a bowl of cereal, for example, feels good right now, but later you might regret it if you’re watching your health. On the other hand, working on a project that excites you can bring happiness both now and in the future. It’s like investing in yourself. When you create something that speaks to you, that makes you feel alive, you’re building a foundation for a better future—maybe even a new job or your own business, all based on your passion.

What really matters is finding something that makes you want to jump out of bed early on a Sunday morning, just because you’re so excited to get started. It could be anything: gardening, working with computers, interviewing inspiring people, or even starting a podcast or YouTube channel. Maybe you dream of opening a business, or creating a unique space where people can gather and work together.

Personally, I’ve always loved the idea of opening a coworking space that’s also a café. I used to work at Starbucks in London and developed a real appreciation for good coffee. At the same time, I’ve spent a lot of time in coworking spaces and have plenty of ideas about what makes them great. Imagine a place with a cozy atmosphere, good music, strong Wi-Fi, and plenty of power outlets—a space where you can work, relax, and feel inspired.

There’s a company in Canada that did something similar. They started as a freelance platform, then launched a side project for sharing photos, and eventually opened a café right next to their office. Anyone can come in, buy a coffee, and enjoy the space. On one side, there’s a big open area with high ceilings, and on the other, the company’s offices. It’s a simple idea, but it brings people together and creates a sense of community.

The point is, your passion project doesn’t have to be huge or complicated. It could be acting in local theater, making short videos for social media, or offering your services to companies. The important thing is to find what makes you feel alive, what gives you that spark.

If you want to go even further and really transform your life, I’ve put together a lot of resources and workshops that can help you step by step. There’s one in particular called “Beautiful Life” that guides you through improving every aspect of your life, from A to Z. You’ll find a link to my methodology and more details on my site.
